Prof. Dr. Parijat Chandra is Professor of Ophthalmology at Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
His clinical and academic work focuses on pediatric vitreoretinal diseases, with particular interest in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). His work encompasses the diagnosis and management of ROP, vitreoretinal surgery, clinical research, medical education, and professional training.
He has been involved in ROP care and research at AIIMS for more than two decades and has contributed to national and international ROP initiatives, multicentre clinical trials and professional education.

Research
Research
His research focuses on improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of retinal disease in premature infants and children. Contributed as a co-investigator to multicentre international studies including RAINBOW, DEGAS, MONET, IMROP and SHIELD.
He has published 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals and written several chapters in reputed books. He has presented 200+ invited lectures.
